Hello. My last thread was locked for no reason. I had defended my position and asked for evidence as to what exact sentences i had said warranted the parma ban. This is an acceptable request as it is in real life involving legal issues.
I think this has been a complete overreaction and lacking in evidence of what i have said and done to warrent a permaban.

Becuase its not related to cachyos general. that is it. yes telling someone to âtake that shit somewhere elseâ was rude and im sorry but this was not an attack on anyone. And telling someone in earnest, it would be better to step away from the pc instead of spamming the mods was also not an attack from me. i had no intentions of attacking anyone.

I didnât see what happened, but from what has been said it looks like you tried to moderate CachyOS general without being promoted to moderator and in the process compared the lifestyle of marginalized people to feces.

Me? Oh lots of things Iâm sure, I donât really bother to worry about it anymore. I just feel bad for people drawn into propaganda getting angry instead of just acting on their urges. In the 90s when I was young no one cared about this stuff.

The resolution was pretty clear â you were banned. Other people tried to defuse the situation by changing the topic but you continued pursuing the topic.
That âconversationâ was only 3 messages. One person talked about their friends and the other asked for some clarity and then you proceeded to escalate the situation.

I donât think a good argument can be made for harassment, because as soon as Grongle told me to stop talking to him I did. If you are trying to say typing a post humorously supporting trans women that have been likened to feces, maybe that is something that needs to be screen shotted and shared on social media with the Linux community at large, resulting in a situation similar to what the Bazzite devs faced. A lot of of the MESA devs are trans and we shouldnât be acting like discussing them and their culture is a bannable social media offense in my opinion. I really donât see how suggesting that someone suffering from internalized biphobia should go meet and hang out with the people they are having a problem with is inappropriate, itâs literally the only solution to the problem.

I could see how overall talking about dating on a Linux board could be inappropriate, but I thought it was ok because the original poster wasnât banned and was allowed to make several new threads on the topic so I just added my 2 cents to it. If the issue overall was inappropriate, then maybe the multiple threads should have been closed quicker after the first one so that this confusion didnât happen.
Perhaps going forward the devs could have a social media ambassador to handle this stuff and focus on the kernel and the packages instead. Sometimes code crunchers donât make the best people persons, we all have different skills.

lol, all I said was that dating trans women is fun as a single young man and encouraged him to try it, nothing graphic or sexual at all. I donât really see how 2 young people meeting and potentially falling in love is inappropriate, so itâs got to be something else.
