NVIDIA driver but which one?

Hello guys,

after reinstalling my system and mounting /home to a new drive. I have a problem I want to solve.

It is the boot problem that Cachy OS boots forever if I have a switched on second monitor. So I did my research a bit and the solution should be using another NVIDIA driver.

I have an NVIDIA 1080 GTX. So I was wondering how to get to know which driver I should use and how to manage to change it? So I guess there are good tutorials about it how to change it, but I still don’t know which driver fits my grafic card? Or which driver brings optimization and the solution for my problem

How can I check that out?

I am not a noob nor an expert. But I want to gain more and more knowledge about to handle CachyOS or other distros.

proper driver for 1080 GTX is nvidia-580xx-dkms

So I just need another system upgrade. I hope this helps me. Since my reinstallation it doesn’t feel smooth and easy anymore.
