I need an advice on which file system to use for the internal memory and which one on the 512 microSD. I need to have a back up of all the gamesaves from my microSD to an USB.
My SteamDeck have 64gb internal Memory SSD and 512gb microSD.
Can I install OS in / (SSD) and /home (microSD)?

Hi, I understand that installing proton-cachyos or proton-ge on an oled steam deck is not possible at this time? Trying to update game dependencies (via “cachyos hello”, in the software update tab) results in the following message “You have attempted to install a package that is problematic on Steam Deck Hardware, Transaction will be cancelled if you are on a Steam Deck.”

You can use “proton-ge-custom-bin” , but not “proton-ge-custom” package.

Hi!

I’ve been using this on my desktop PC and Steam Deck OLED for a while. No real problems I haven’t been able to solve, except one:

My desktop PC has a 7800X3D and a 7900XTX. The 7800X3D has an iGPU (GPU 1) that powers my second monitor, and the 7900XTX (GPU 0) manages my main gaming monitor. In Game Mode, MangoApp only wants to show me GPU 1s stats. I want to see GPU 0s stats. I looked at the session file and did not find anything that suggested I had a way around this. Any help?

I tried the Handheld Edition for a few days now on my Steam Deck LED and this is a list of issues I encountered:

  • The Deck is unable to launch steam sometimes after a fresh boot. Means it shows the splash but after that it stuck on a grey screen. I need to forcefully power off the device when this happens.

  • The Deck sometimes hangs when switching from Game to Desktop Mode. I need to touch the screen to make it continue launch plasma.

  • The Deck freezed completely once when I had 30% battery left. I had to forcefully power off the device. I tried to see logs but none gets logged when this happed (cpu crash)

After the first install it will take some time to load, but can you provide logs?

Thats weird.

Could you provide for 1 and 2 maybe logs and create an issues in the cachyos-handheld repository.

Just installed it on the Deck LCD seems to be working fine
