Computer freeze

Hello!

So like the title my computer just freeze on me during a game of “The Finals” and I know to little to know what journalctl trying to tell me, so I have to ask the people here for help or just report this problem?

a2680cb here my journalctl -b -1 | paste-cachyos I think that should do? I start playing around 21:30~ish

I should note that I try to enter TTY (CTRL+ALT+F3) since I was freeze so I figure that may be able to reboot from there or something, while it did seem to work for a second, it didn’t, I just got stuck on a black screen with a white bar un-moving, and had to unsafe shutdown/hold power button.

I was getting this too; it looks like there might be a change in how Direct Scanout works in Plasma 6.6 (I haven’t actually spent time bisecting yet), but disabling “Screen tearing: Allow in fullscreen windows” in the Display Configuration section of system settings for my main panel seems to have resolved the issue for now.

Do you have any details about exactly when this happened for you? I’ve noticed that this was happening in particular during loading screens when the game was not rendering any frames, so it seems likely that there is a watchdog that is interpreting the fullscreen application hitting 0 FPS as a device lockup.

it happen in the middle of gameplay, so not during loading.

it just weird amdgpu crash should I be concern?
