Black screen installing cachyOS

This is continuation of this ticket, which more or less solve by itself with clean partitions:

HI, After installing windows 11, I have issues installing latest cachyos iso in dual boot with systemd-boot. If I try to install with first option after the first restart done by cachyos, boot is stuck with the cursor at the top (not blinking). Holding the shutdown button on the laptop will force the logs of the boot process to show, but shutdown signal already stopped the installation. If I try to install with second option I pass the boot screen and I can proceed. I choose manual partition …

I’m opening this ticket because latest cachyos iso not working for me, when I start the installer with the first default cachyos option.
The first screen of the installation is successful, but just right before cachyos throw me to the desktop screen where I needs to continue the installation (partitions + installing apps), cachyos breaks with black screen.

I’ve found some other issues about black screen suggesting firing some keyboard shortcuts like: ctrl + alt + some numeric number but nothing really helps, it’s not even dual monitor issue, i’ve tried to remove the hdmi and start the installer on one screen…

Current cachyos installed with the second option:

CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-12650z
GPU 1: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Mobile]
GPU 2: Intel UHD Graphics @ 1.40 GHz [In]

Are you sure that you disable “Secure-Boot”?

I have the same problem. I tried:

• Secure-Boot on and Secure-Boot off
• Formating the USB-Stick with Rufus and Balena Etcher
• Installed Arch without a problem.
• Screens are connected via Display-Port. But that was never a problem with any other distro.
• If I choose the first option on installation, the black screen comes after the message “Welcome to CachyOS”. If I choose the second option (NVIDIA card …) the installation is stuck before that but without an error message.

Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070

I did have the same problem, after OS installation then booting my monitor flickers to black screen.

I have a monitor with 144hz refresh rate. I was able to lower the refresh rate to 120hz and the flickering is gone.

when I tried playing Dota2 it then starts to flicker again, disabling the adaptive sync seem to be the work around.

Im trying to work it on 144hz since it was working well when i was on windows but seems to no avail.

What I did:

• Unplugged the monitor power cable and hdmi
• replaced the hdmi cable

It’s doesn’t matter off or on in dual boot, but yes, is off. I’m force to installing second option, which makes cachy os lagging with terrible fps. So this is a problem if cachyos install something else compare to second option which clearly state that is for 200+ graphic cards…
