World of warcraft launches on random screen

so I’m having this weird issue that when I launch world of warcraft it will launch on the monitor my cursor is on instead of my primary monitor. I’ve tried setting the environment variables in lutris but that only seems to apply to the battle.net client and not to wow itself.

system info: CachyOS 7.0.10-1 running KDE Plasma (Wayland)

DP-1: main monitor, 34" ultrawide 3440x1440
DP-2: second monitor, 27" vertical monitor, 1440x2560
HDMI-A-1: third monitor, 15.6" monitor 1920x1080

The issue is known, you can force the game (if you open it frequently) to run on a specific monitor if you use KDE with window rules

I solved the issue by just having battle.net on my main monitor so it doesn’t launch on the wrong monitor by mistake
