Greetings, I recently switched to CachyOS from windows and I’m trying to use my wired switch pro controller. It’s a PDP Gaming Faceoff Deluxe+ Wired Switch Pro Controller and it plugs in and gets detected fine but the issue is the mappings are horribly wrong in settings controller to the point I can’t even remap them in Steam to fix. For example X is mapped on the left bumper, back and start are mapped to the joystick buttons and the physical A & right bumper don’t seem to have any mapping. Lastly and most confusingly is that the right bumper button is mapped to both the triggers being pulled, or at least is the most consistent way of getting it to work, and dpads move the axis but doesn’t show up in the button list (5 and 6 will change numbers but D-pad… button won’t change). My desktop environment is KDE Plasma, and the controller worked fine previously on windows in without needing anything else. Additionally another controller (mayflash fightstick) works fine in xinput mode (only tested mode).
Edit: is there potentially a driver I could be missing? I only downloaded the Meta package since most the applications the second bundle comes with are things I wouldn’t use. Or is there a way to forcibly remap it to fix the misinterpretation of inputs?
