Wine-cachyos update conflicts with wine-mono

I’m trying out cachyos and I just tried a system upgrade and got the following error:

resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...

:: wine-cachyos-2:9.0.20250126-2 and wine-mono-9.4.0-1 are in conflict. Remove wine-mono? [y/N]

error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)

:: wine-cachyos-2:9.0.20250126-2 and wine-mono-9.4.0-1 are in conflict

Both the currently installed and the updated wine-cachyos packages say they provide wine-mono, so I don’t understand why it wouldn’t also update wine-mono?

Do I need to let the upgrade remove mono and then reinstall mono separately later, even though wine-cachyos claims it provides mono?

What am I missing?

wine-cachyos now bundles wine-mono in-package. You need to remove system wine-mono because as defined in the package (and the files provided by the two packages), they conflict with each other.

thank you, i guess we should remove system wine-gecko aswell ?

The system should prompt you the gecko conflict as well, asking for removal of both packages, mono and gecko.
