I currently have a Ryzen 5 5600G, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB NVME with an Asrock B450 HDV R4.0 and I want to get the best out of my hardware but I notice worse performance than on my Windows 10. Which kernel and configuration do you recommend for my hardware? I’m a bit of a newbie
Hello and welcome,
Unless you have some other specific reason or need then the default Cachy kernel is maybe the best all-around choice and is already optimized in various ways.
For more information see;
I’ve tried Warframe and Dave the Diver, two games I play a lot, and I’ve noticed the performance is worse than on my Windows 10 system. The inferior performance is the reason I’m posting this.
OK and what have you done?
What does your system look like?
sudo cachyos-bugreport.sh
In the future please try to avoid XY problems.
That is do not ask about your imagined solution (“whats the best kernel?”) and instead do ask about your actual problem (“why performance is worse than expected?”).
I answered your original question but that is apparently not really the kind of help you needed.
