Many users ask questions in forums (not only in this one) that are impossible to answer. There is almost always a lack of precise information about the technical details of the hardware used. Likewise, no information is provided on how the software was installed. Which additional programmes have been installed? Has the operating system been changed? If so, where and how? Is it an older installation that has only ever been updated, or an installation that has only recently been carried out? New programmes may be used that do not match the version of the operating system? I myself have worked my way through thousands of forums, homepages and youtube explanations over the last few years without asking a single question to a forum. This one is the first because I absolutely love cachyOS. I can’t remember, how many times I have installed, deleted and reinstalled the various systems. True to the motto “try and error” and “never give up”. Remember, the more precise the question, the more detailed the information, the better they can help you. If this is not possible, then the only thing that helps (as with a car) is to take it to the workshop. In this sense have fun with cachyOS always running fast and properly!
Yes, this is sadly generally a thing, even if we provide detailed information, as well as here how to create a bugreport:
In that situation I just assume they are running KDE and give the most basic troubleshooting advice, NBD. It’s faster to go on a forum and ask for help than it is to be self sufficient like you are. I work in IT and can bug fix my own installs as well, but some people don’t find that interesting or fun, different strokes for different folks.
well, yes sometimes you are right with that statement, but the most blame should go to ms… now many new user switch to linux or try it… and then they have to use… a shell… not to blame someone but linux was the last years still a “geek” OS… but it raise… so we should help the newbies as far as we can… only that will bring a freedom of choice of the os you want to use^^ My Motto: “Help someone the best you can… sometimes he can help someone else”^^
