Every time I update I get these warnings:
==> WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: 'ast'
==> WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: 'aic94xx'
==> WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: 'bfa'
==> WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: 'qed'
==> WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: 'qla1280'
==> WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: 'qla2xxx'
==> WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: 'wd719x'
==> WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: 'xhci_pci_renesas'
==> WARNING: consolefont: no font found in configuration
Am I missing something or can these be ignored?
Tim
You can ignore this. It is documented somewhere, including how to remove it if it bothers you.
If you search for it:
==> WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: ‘ast’
you will end up here: [solved] WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: xxx / Pacman & Package Upgrade Issues / Arch Linux Forums

Thank you. What does this one refer to?
WARNING: consolefont: no font found in configuration
I am new to Linux and that thread doesn’t make sense but thanks anyway.
Boiled down: Warnings are not errors. They are just an FYI

adding explanation about firmware :
there is 2 ways to distribute firmware ,
firmware with kernel linux , or other way to distribution ( 3rd party)
in case do not distribute with kernels firmware , you then see a warning
