Vmware Workstation Not Connecting to the internet

I’m trying to use Windows 11 in a vm using Vmware Workstation Pro. It installs fine but I can’t get past the setup process because its trying to install drivers and won’t let me move on without an internet connection to do so. The vm does not connect automatically and when I try to connect it manually it stays “failed to connect to Ethernet0.” I’ve tried changing the settings, making a new port, messing with the bandwidth and nothing. Turning off my firewall changes nothing either. Every YouTube video I’ve watched doesn’t help.

Any advice is appreciated, since I’m quite new to vmware. Thanks.

Make sure vmware-networks.service is running.

How do I do that?

Fixed.
vmware-networks.service was, indeed, off.
The commands were:
“systemctl status vmware-networks.service”
“systemctl start vmware-networks.service”
“systemctl enable vmware-networks.service”

Thanks for the help.
