Recently switched from Nobara and running into couple issues. one of them being problem with VLC, Movies that I played perfectly fine on Nobara are missing codes in CachyOS. Any fix there or?
Encountered the same thing, and couldn’t find a fix. I took the opportunity to scout out alternatives to VLC. I ended up going with SMplayer (which runs on MPV) and it’s an improvement performance-wise.
Checking the optional dependencies and installing the required codec.
It might be overkill but you can just install vlc-plugins-all to have all codecs/plugins installed
