Hello everyone, I’m really happy with the system, but I’m having an issue with the VLC player. Can you help me? It froze 10 seconds before the screen went black, and the buttons and touchpad stopped responding completely; I had to force-restart the device. I don’t know what caused this, and I’m asking for your help.
Have you tried playing the video from a different player like Celluloid? I found Celluloid can be even lighter on some older systems
Depending on the age of the device, it might be a GPU or RAM issue (on the hardware level)
You can always try the Flathub package of VLC to see if it changes the behavior.
I had the same problem in Linux Mint. Every time I watched a video in fullscreen with VLC, the pc crashed. While it worked in window mode without any problems. Unfortunately I never found a solution. It worked with every other player just not with VLC.
