Hi guys. First these are my specs: Dell Precisiontower 5810 with Original Motherboard and Powersupply. CPU: Intel Xeon E5-1650 v3 12 @ 3z. GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. Monitor is a Philips 272E1GJ. I use latest cachyOS and have my system up to date. My Kernel is Linux 7.0.5-1-cachyos-rt-bore. The issue also arose on regular bore kernel and goes as follows:
At random times the video signal cuts out permanently. As in the only way to get it back is forcing the PC off (technically If I memorized the movements to turn it off via GUI or terminal blindly that would work, as the systems continues to run). There seems not to be an issue with the physical connection, I tried all the DP ports and the HDMI port and also tested a different monitor (LG Flatron) and adjusting the cables didn’t work either excluding a loose connection. I have no settings for automatic standby or anything like it on and the issue sometimes even happend before entering grub. Other than that it usually happened during the first 10 minutes mostly earlier. I have also had sessions running issueless for more than 4-6h. So yeah I’m really at a loss here and couldn’t find anything similar onlines. How can I approach further troubleshooting?

I am not familiar with the Dell Precisiontower 5810, but did you upgrade the GPU at some point? I would be a little worried that the integrated PSU is not enough to handle potential upgrades.
can you try to get logs from the previous failed boot?
run something like this after the restart sudo journalctl -b -1 -k | grep -E -i “amdgpu|drm|timeout|ring”
Thanks! I will do it when I find some time (tomorrow prolly) I did upgrade the gpu but checked the power demand and the available output via the PCIe and 8 Pin connector from the powersupply. When I get to the bug report I can run and provide the numbers.
So I checked the numbers again and my GPU is delivered with up to 300W from the PCIe slot and cable from the PSU, my GPU uses around half of that, the setup in total goes around 400W and my PSU deliveres up to 685W. So i think thats fine right?
I assume -3 refers to which log it is and this was the last one that failed or at least it definitely shows errors. I hope it helps.

Thank you for the clarity, did not make a reassembly but did oncemore plugged out an plugged in the PSU > GPU cable and the last two sessions did not have any trouble. If the problem comes back I will get a new cable and worst case update the thread. Thanks everyone for helping ^^
