These are the only distros that matter to me, so the only ones i seed. Just thought it was interesting that arch based are the most popular. 
Itâs just my own opinion, no more, no less, but I tend to feel that people talk about the Ubuntus/Debian Linuxes as if the Arches donât even exist, the same way Windows/Mac people used to talk as if Linux didnât even exist.
I donât totally mind, though. Because if Arch stays a âsecretâ to those types, then they wonât show up in huge numbers asking foolish âmake-it-like-Microsoft-Windowsâ statements grouped with nube questions. I might sound like a jerk saying that, but I really feel itâs true. And I used to use the 'Buntus/Mac/Windows.
But itâs not a secret. On reddit and youtube and so on Arch and its derivatives are the trendy new thing (although NixOs if you really want to stand out). Itâs surely the likes of Debian which are ignored in these places.
And if youâre worried about the influx of clueless Windows users, they are already here.

I usually only hear about Linux Mint and Ubuntu and Debian on a lot of other forums and on YouTube.
People seem to claim that theyâre good for beginners, but I feel thatâs a mistake because in my eyes those distros are harder to maintain.
But about your torrent study, interesting results.
I agree. Iâve been running my server with debian for years and I still am never sure I have everything updated.

debian upgrades are never simple, but it is possible, there is always an extensive guide on the website about a complete upgrade, but it is long and kind of expected that you did the previous upgrade correctly. I only did an upgrade once, took me half a day. If itâs possible I just do a clean install to make sure.
