Hi,
I’ve got a Macbook Pro 15,4 and I’m mostly happy that I made the switch to CachyOS. It feels like I’ve breathed new life into it.
But I am having a couple annoying issues. First is the Touch Bar. On reboot it’s working fine and everything is great, but if I put the system to sleep for even a moment it will stop working and just stay black. Does anyone have either a solution, or at least a method to restart whatever process is controlling it? I should mention that I tried installing tiny-dfr and that it still had the same issue.
My other main issue is that the bluetooth is completely non-functional. I know that the Broadcom chip used in this machine is troublesome, but after some fiddling I did manage to get wifi working. But from what I can tell CachyOS thinks the system has no bluetooth adapter at all.
Maybe it’s unrelated, but wifi is still finnicky and sometimes it will stop working unless I re-run:
“sudo modprobe -r brcmfmac_wcc
sudo modprobe -r brcmfmac
sudo modprobe brcmfmac”
Then it starts working again. I can live with that hurdle, but I thought it might give some context that could help since I believe they both use the same chip.
Anyway, I would really appreciate any suggestions.
