System not rebooting/turning off

Hi.

I had a defective graphics card and switched back to my old RX 6800. Now my system doesn’t turn off when I shut it down. The screens turn black, but the power led doesn’t turn off and I have to force the shutdown by holding the power button. The system also doesn’t reboot without pressing the reset button.

Any ideas?

what GPU you use previously ? is it NVIDIA / Intel ?
if yes, have you installed proper driver ?

as for black screen, have you try pressing CTRL+C ??
and after it’s boot, try to do this command, maybe you can see some error that need to be addressed that make your system stuck when doing the shutdown
journalctl -b -1 -e

I had a RX 9070 xt.

Hmm, now it’s shutting down and and rebooting and I’m not able to reproduce the error anymore.
