Suggetion: offer a more lightweight desktop environment on the livecd

kde is a quite heavy desktop environment and what if someone tried to install this distro on a low end pc like say 4-2gb ram and my testing kde uses around 2gb of ram
i hope i didnt sound too harsh or rude

I think part of the point of CachyOS, like ClearLinux, is to strip away the cruft and focus on support for modern devices (x86v3, v4, coming v5, various handhelds, etc). So the ram is less of a concern as almost every new device out there will meet this criteria.

But it is possible to select a different desktop environment in installation. While a less performant installation environment is to be expected there, it’s a temporary situation before you get to select, I assume, xfce since you’re concerned with RAM.

honestly i agree but some devices may not run it or lag badly on the installer my pc is powerful but its kinda a concern

KDE works fine on 4gb ram and 15 year old laptop with 2 core processor.
