Steam slow downloads

Hi there

I’m pretty new to the whole linux scene

Ive tried multiple distros, ARCH ubuntu and cachyos and i have one problem that always remainds and have tried google and searching applying every fix i can find

on windows my steam downloads sit around 800-900 and dont ever drop
on linux they seem to go to that speed and then come down to the 380 mark and dont budge from there

ive tried various fixes setting download speed limit to 999999
disabling ipv6
steam cfg for disabling https 2 which im told is already done on cachyos

any help would be great im a novice when it comes to linux im still learning

any help would be great as its really holding me back as i really enjoy linux

It looks like disabling http2 is now slowing my connection down.
I had the same issue, this steam cfg change fixed it for me.

~/.steam/steam/steam_dev.cfg or ~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.steam/steam/steam_dev.cfg for flatpack
