Steam Memory leak causing crash (wine: Unhandled page fault)

I installed Cachy OS a little while ago and have had no problems so far. I had to have a surgery which prevented using my PC for about 2 week and now i can see that Steam has some sort of memory leak. i launch it and memory usage spikes very high and then goes down a bit and then starts using more and more until the system crashes. i can play minecraft fine and SP Tarkov and open lutris and heroic launcher etc all fine but steam is a solid nope.

i have tried reinstalling steam and resetting it but cant figure out what is causing it. ive tried searching for answers online but cant seem to find anything related to my situation.

when i launch steam i get this in loop:

and i am not too sure how this would be solved or if this is even the issue.

i am also not too sure if i am just being dumb. i am definetly not a linux power user but i somewhat know my way round linux.

just to provide a bit of additional information these are my stystem specs:
