Since SDDM -> Plasma Login getting freezes on monitor standby

After moving to PLM, I get full system freezes after or during monitor standby. Only thing that seem to help is hard reset.

Not sure it helps, since I can only create the bugreport after a restart.
Hope someone can help

Probably should be reported at KDE’s bug reporting site. I didn’t search the list of bugs but maybe it’s already reported? Plasma login manager bugs

I just tried a second time (first time when the change was made to CachyOS to use PLM from then on).

  1. Much longer boot time
  2. KDE Plasma very laggy from the get go, constant mouse and animation freezes
  3. I didn’t test further
  4. If it IS the default now, might be a “great” way to encourage new CachyOS users. To be considered.
  5. MSI x670e Gaming Wifi Plus, AMD 7800X3D, 32GB RAM, RTX3080, Samsung 990 PRO NVMe 2TB

In case it was somehow not considered it may be mentioned that if PLM proves problematic for whatever reason of course users may install/enable/use SDDM. It is not gone.

Going back to start of problems. On current 7.0.X kernel it’s all laggy and choppy.

On 6.18 LTS it boots smooth, some programs start slow, now Bluetooth is gone.

Compiling deezer-enhanced-git stuck on “Running postMake hooks”.

This system is going down. No fancy hacking done to it.
