Since Plasma 6.7: Unresponsive lock screen after afk, system still works

Hey guys! Since the recent Plasma 6.7 update, the lock screen on my PC is unresponsive whenever I come back from being afk for a while (e.g. when grabbing a bite to eat).

No response to any mouse or keyboard input. However, the clock still works and when I unplug the USB dongle, I hear the notification sound. Still, even after re-plugging, no kb/m input.

I realize the Internet is full of similar issue reports, although they all seem to differ slightly in circumstances and symptoms. The closest I could find was this one:

This is a laptop, but I always run it on AC power. My power settings:

My system specs:

Any ideas?

Sooooo, I disabled the lock screen altogether and it turns out if I just let the PC sit there idling for a while (like, no more than 5 to 10ish minutes), it will still enter this kind of frozen state.

Again, no reaction to keyboard and mouse input. It’s like something inside the PC goes to sleep and then never wakes back up, so it’s like half-awake with the clock and stuff still working, but no input.

Could be an ASUS laptop thing?! I installed asusctl and rog-control-center, but not sure if I need to change any settings in there and if so, which. Perhaps installing that alone might fix the problem. Will report back.
