Hi everyone,

Is it safe for me to run pacman -Syu, or should I wait until this malware attack is over?

I’m still pretty new to Linux

It never was not.

The malware campaign only ever affected the open, third party, unsupported, Arch User Repository.

Never the official repositories.

pacman only works with the official repos.
