Rfkill delays Boot

Hello wonderful People!

I’m an Idiot and an absolute Beginner regarding Linux, sorry if i fuck up any Etiquette. Thank you for reading!!

My Problem is that after a cold boot only, not after reboot, USB and Network Detection start only after i type in my password, resulting in a ~30 second delay before i can hit Cashy-Update (or use my Browser or something less important).

I suspect i don’t like what rfkill is doing, but after that my wisdom ends. I tried stuff in UEFI (Fast Boot is off, Secure Boot was disabled before install). Then I suspected ProtonVPN, so i uninstalled it (perhaps incompletely?), but now i’m at a loss. I love CashyOS anyway and it’s a rather mild inconvenience, but i would feel like Mr. Hackerman if i could solve this with your help.

Hello and welcome,

Its masked on my system.*

Which means its hard disabled and will not start even if something tries to call it automatically.

If you want to do the same then;

systemctl mask systemd-rfkill.service

To be extra complete you could do the socket too (again also masked here);

systemctl mask systemd-rfkill.socket

* - This is a requirement of TLP, which I use.

I masked rfkill, like you suggested, shut down completely and rebooted. rfkill is gone, but there still is a ~30sec delay before my Wi-Fi connects. Do you have a suggestion how i can get to the bottom of this?
