Question to bootloader

hello,
today I decided to try cachyOS and installed it to qemu.
in case of legacy-mode there I see the possibility to hide all bootloaders,
what will be ok for me at hard-metall installation.
But in uefi-mode I cannot detect any way to install without a bootloader.
Do I miss anything in calamares ?

thx

On legacy bios mode it will always use GRUB and you can’t change that. On UEFI you can select your bootloader when you start the installer

thanks for answering,
but this was not my question.

I’d like to install without a bootloader.
this choice is offered in legacy-mode but I don’t find it in uefi-mode.
maybe I don’t find the button in calamares ?

We dont have support for this yet.

You cannot install without bootloader: on uefi and mbr/bios system.

and in calamares (legacy) is this choice ?

Thats only for BIOS systems.

That is what I did understand of your first reply :+1:

but it works to install the OS without bootloader
it would be comfortable to have this option on uefi too
