When I launch qbittorrent (no matter which version, lts or not) first qbit freezes and becomes unresponsive, after a couple of seconds, my pc starts to lag (cursor is lagging / unresponsive and so are all apps) to the point where the systen becomes completely unresponsive and the only thing to do is to restart my computer.
Please try this, and if this helps we can make it permanent:
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb qbittorrent
Unfortunately it didnt help If I also try and open system monitor, it would also freeze and become unresponsive.
Possibly hardware but please run this, and return the link back here.

All is good we got it.
And I just can’t see any reason for any chokes or freezes for either of the 2 app’s you mention.
A second set of eyes would be nice though.
you can try nice -n 18 qbittorrent in konsole. Maybe get some log output.

I have a similar issue. On running qbittorrent (even after building it from git via aur) it displays a window briefly where it says “qbittorrent has crashed” in red letters, which cannot be reproduced.
Console spits out nothing I hope someone can spot something in the report: 2ba5db0
