Proton-cachyos: Min-Ed-Launcher can't launch Elite Dangerous

I use an app called Min-ED-Launcher (Minimal Elite Dangerous Launcher) to login and launch Elite Dangerous (as opposed to the official Frontier launcher which is slow and requires multiple clicks to launch the game) through Steam (native). However, when using Min-ED-Launcher with proton-cachyos, it’s unable to launch the game. Using Proton Experimental (as I used to on Arch Linux) allows Min-ED-Launcher to successfully launch the game.

I’m unsure why this is happening as the terminal output isn’t terribly helpful.

I made a post in min-ed-launcher’s Github but the dev is asking details about Cachy that I can’t answer:

It looks like it’s not recognizing you’re running via Proton because the arg parsing looks for specific strings. The logic will need to change/be refactored.

I’m unable to check myself at the moment, do you know if this version of proton requires something specific to run (OS settings, env vars, etc…) or should I be able to run it on a standard arch install?

Does anyone know the details that I can provide to the min-ed-launcher dev or better, does anyone know why this is happening? TIA!
