Plasma wallpaper keeps resetting to default hourly

Obviously, this is a minor annoyance, but already having installed CachyOS in 3 different systems, (and setting up a lazy cache for Pacman on a LXC container) having this issue in only one of them seem weird to me, but I need a little bit of help to start poking around and get logs or config files to pinpoint the culprit here.

I tried setting the wallpaper as simple image and as daily wallpaper provider and both of them are switched back to the default in a timely basis (initially I have only noticed when starting the work day, but today I saw that at the same minute every hour is when the wallpaper reverts itself).

I already have seen two topics kinda related to this (one of them solved as being the folder not accessible at boot time and the other one couldn’t explain a lot more because of language barrier) but those cases applied only at reboot time, so I think it’s quite a different situation right here.

I also changed the lock screen background and that has stayed the same since then.

Found the culprit as being a Flatpak app called Damask (that I didn’t remember left installed and enabled).

For some reason, the refresh was set every hour but when loading the main screen does not show an image, maybe this was trying to set an empty file hourly (as the schedule already set up) and got reset to default on failure.

I’ll be reporting this to upstream as soon as I can gather more information about it.
