Peripherals Software

Hi there,

I’ve been trialing the distro and loving it so far however have two issues that I am looking for help to resolve if someone could help please.

  1. I have a Logitech G Pro Lightspeed 2 and a G915 Lightspeed keyboard which when trying Piper and Solaar (I think those names are right) Piper finds neither and Solaar only finds the keyboard but the lighting control does not seem to work, nothing else is installed to control that. Is there any software to recognise the mouse or is this a case of configuring it in Windows into the memory before I full switch to Windows so it stays the same in Linux?

  2. I have a Corsair HS80 headset which I plan to replace in a few months but for now cannot find a way to control this, same question as the first one if anyone can recommend anything. I tried installing the one that comes up under application installs in CachyOS Hello but no GUI comes up whenever I try to do anything with it.

Thanks in advance.

OpenRGB might work for the lighting but I don’t know about the mouse; Solaar documentation states:

The best way to determine whether Solaar supports a device is to run Solaar while the device is connected. If the device is supported, it will show up in the Solaar main window.

No clue about the headset either but overall it’s pretty lame that they use proprietary software only available on Windows.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to do a workaround for the logitech devices and used windows to configure the settings, saved to onboard memory profile and this works in Linux.

I do use OpenRGB to control my fans and AIO colour which is Corsair but when trying to use OpenLinkHub it just refuses to open/load whether the device is on or off that I am struggling to sort.
