Good afternoon,
Firstly, I’d just like to say I’ve tried many distros, CachyOS is by far the best for me. I love it.
The only thing that really took some time to figure out (and I’m no arch expert) was OpenRGB. The current version on Octopi is at 0.9. This version does not pick up all my hardware.
The latest version is at 1.0. I had to download the AppImage from the website, which required me to use UDEV tools so as not to have to run it as sudo. This was needed to add the program to startup applications.
The UDEV tools downloaded from the website were incomplete, and I had to create my own UDEV entries for my hardware. I’ve never done this before so it took some figuring out.
Installing OpenRGB systemwide (like I did prior on debian), means UDEV tools are not required, and this saves a lot of hassle with individual hardware.
So, I would like to humbly request OpenRGB be updated to 1.0 in the package manager.
Thanks a bunch!
