NVIDIA 560 Driver live in the upcoming hours

This option does not do anything. Its just that the driver gets properly used, on the ISO itself.

Since we have an online installation, the hardware detection does detect and install packages.

New to cachyos, appreciate the rapidity both in terms of performance and release; especially coming from Manjaro.
Regarding nvidia 560, I keep a close eye on the nvidia 560 release thread and have noticed some people reporting random desktop freezes on multi-monitor setups, confirmed by nvidia. Has anyone here on 560 encountered such issues?
For reference my setup is KDE, a 4080 super and two LG 4K 120hz monitors.

Hi @ptr1337, I figured out why there is no Wayland. I have three displays. I unplugged all but one and booted. Hier ist es! Wayland. Then I plugged in the other monitors, and they all worked fine. I will see if it survives a reboot with all displays plugged in :crossed_fingers:

A reboot brings me back to x11. There must be some gdm rule that has a bug when more than one display is plugged into an RTX 4090. :thinking:

one question i have gtx 1660 card can i run nvidia open source drivers ?

@Kevin the list shows it is supported

As @phatle states, it works, I have an older GTX1080Ti FTW3 & it works out of the box at fresh install.

We have patched gdm, and this should be away.
But if its not, then:
ln -s /dev/null /etc/udev/rules.d/61-gdm.rules

Yes, they do.

Just came into that link here, bet that some might have seen it already;

Edit: It s almost the same as @phatle s above besides being from Phoronix s.
