NumLock key when my computer starts up and on the screen after startup

I am having an issue on Linux where NumLock does not stay enabled after startup or on the login screen. Every time I start my computer, I have to manually press the NumLock key again.

This may seem like a small problem, but it becomes annoying in daily use, especially when entering passwords or using the numeric keypad regularly. I think NumLock should stay enabled automatically after boot.

Could you please help me fix this issue or guide me on how to make NumLock stay enabled permanently on Linux?

Thanks in advance.

if you use KDE there is an option under keyboard settings right under the layout options.

Unfortunately, I’m a beginner. Thank you for your help.

Good morning: If that doesn’t work, install Numlockx. I usually install it with every installation. You can do it from Shelly, and once installed, it will be activated. It works in XFCE.
