My Cachyos is very slow after installation, to the point that the mouse pointer takes a long time to move, the login screen on the other hand does not crash, I installed the Desktop version with Plasma and Limine, I have already used another distribution with Plasma that was not slow, so I imagine that the problem is not my PC.

Ram: 8gb ddr3 1333mhz
GPU: GTX 660
SSD: 500gb
Your GPU is quite dated, it’s possible you likely need to be using an X11 session with it
sudo pacman -S kwin-x11 plasma-x11-session
Log out and when the login screen appears select x11 session instead of wayland, see if this helps?
can also try
sudo cpupower frequency-set -g performance
see if things improve?

inxi -Fzavery sorry to necropost on something from way back in 2025, but me and my partner are having issues with almost identical specs to OP’s computer but as soon as we get to the login screen it takes no input at all, no mouse, keyboard or anything however the time shown on the login screen updates as normal, are there any ways of fixing this that you’d know of ? this is a fresh install and we havent been able to login
