MX grub does not see cachyos
You probably need to boot into MX, edit /etc/default/grub
and uncomment the line GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false
After that run sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
to regenerate the grub config file.
Which bootloader did you choose when installing cachy ?
edit /etc/default/grub
and uncomment the line GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false
did not work.
I use a separate hard drive I don’t remember been ask where to use grub.
Do I understand it correctly: You started MX and executed Leya’s suggestion and did not forget to run sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
?
I had MX installed for only a few days. I did not like it. That’s why I’m with cachyos now!
But doesn’t MX have a tool called mx boot repair? However, I have never used the tool.
A completely different idea: I installed refind a few days ago as a test. I’m still not sure whether I like the look of it, but it found all my OSs. You can’t complain about that.
