Mouse interruption

I’ve never had problems with games on Windows 11, but I’ve had problems with CachyOS, especially in more stressful, action-packed situations. The game runs smoothly but turning or simply moving the mouse doesn’t work. I tested it in Cyberpunk 2077 and Dying Light The Beast. In DL it was even difficult to hover over “Play” button in the menu because it kept freezing, even though I was moving the mouse further.

I heard that it might have something to do with the profile set on Wayland and not X11 but when I tried to log in to X11, after a while a black screen appeared with the CachyOS logo and KDE Plasma in the lower right corner and I couldn’t do anything.

I have i5-9600k, rtx 2070 and Logitech G PRO X Superlight

are you using gamescope?

no, is it all beacuse of this?

no if you are not using gamescope, I had something similar with it

how are you running these games?

both on steam with startup game-performance %command%

did you try a different proton? proton-cachyos, proton-ge the ones included with steam?

I haven’t tried, actually CachyOS is my first Linux system, I wanted to dive right in to the deep water so I could learn faster

using BOTH game-perfomance launch command and tweak from cachy hello ananicy cpp could cause issues. Use only one or the other. Also maybe give a try using the Sched-Ext (just search it in your start menu) and try out different schedulers with gaming profiles - suggest start with scx_lavd

Is your mouse a Logitech one, too?

I have the same problem, i used gamescope but the movement gets limited to certain amount when moving it fast
