Hallo zusammen,

ich hatte vor eine COS Installation in ein LVM durchzuführen. Allerdings stelle ich fest das Clamares da recht eigensinnig ist. Auch nachdem ich die LV Umgebung mit pvcreate, vgcreate, lvcreate vorher erstellt hatte, ist eine Installation nicht möglich. Calamares hängt alle Laufwerke wieder aus und kann dann im Anschluss die VGs/LVs nicht finden um das Dateisystem zu erstellen oder die Installation durchzuführen.

Lange Rede kurzer Sinn. Ist eine Installation von CachyOS in einem LV unterstützt oder muss ich hier den Arch-Weg gehen, wie er hier als Beispiel aufgeführt ist. Oder übersehe ich etwas.

Vielleicht hat der ein oder andere das anders gelöst.

einen Fehler gefunden:

Der offset der Partition die vor dem LVM lag war nicht in Ordnung. Partition repariert und eine Installation ist erst einmal möglich.
ABER - die PV und VG Erstellung musste über Konsole erfolgen, da Calamares immer wieder beim rescan der Devices abstürzte.

Das konnte durch pvcreate und vgcreate über Konsole gelöst werden. Der LV konnte dann wieder mit Calamares erstellt werden.
