I can see the system detects the keyboards but the internal one stopped working after a USB one was plugged in.

I’m using a virtual keyboard now with Fcitx5 Wayland Experimental for language switching but this problem was there before the virtual keyboard was installed.
The Fn+Q combo on the laptop for mode switching still works somehow.
I am using KDE plasma 6. Latest cachy os update via pacman.
There are no udev rules I am seeing that might be interfering.
