Hello, I’m new to this OS and forum. I did a fresh install and everything OK until now, except that my external speakers (with a jack connector) are not being detected. Internal speakers work. I also tested bluetooth headphones and USB speakers: they work. The problem is the jack connector
I tried both normal and lts kernel.
I also tried this sudo pacman -Syu pipewire-media-session, but that didn’t solve the issue.

I think the problem is that jack detection is not working.
I was looking at alsamixer -c 0
I see “Speaker“ and “Headphone“ there. Speaker is my internal speaker, and Headphone is my external speaker. When I manually unmute “Headphone“, my external speakers work ONLY if I force output through it using speaker-test -c 2 -D hw:0,0 -t wav. I also tested “Auto-Mute Mode“: I think that it should mute internal speakers automatically when external speakers are connected, but this is not happening.
In “Volume Control“ it always says that Headphones are unplugged.

I still have this problem, but I made some progress.
Jack detection is still not working but I can use alsamixer to manually unmute the headphones: F6, select my sound card, and unmute “Headphone“ and “Master“. Then in Volume Control I can manually select the profile with my Headphones and select my headphone sink as the output of whatever I want to listen through my headphones.
Then my headphones work as they should.
This is functional as a “workaround”, but does not allow any integration to happen, so everything have to be done manually, which is annoying. If I plug my headphones I do not have automatic switch, and to change volume I need to use the Volume Control GUI, I cannot use default hotkeys nor PulseAudio Plugin.
I also tried to use hdajackretask, but every override option is “not connected“. And I don’t want to mess up with advanced overrides.
When I use wpctl status, I can see my headphones as a sink, but not as a device, so maybe the problem is ALSA.
