hey, you may need to allow ports 1714:1764 for kde connect to work, try :
sudo ufw allow 1714:1764/tcp comment "kde-connect"

The wiki actually also tells you to allow udp ports, so try sudo ufw allow 1714:1764/udp and sudo ufw allow 1714:1764/tcp too? And then sudo ufw reload to apply

Having a similar problem. KDE connect works with my Zorin OS install on the same computer.

Have you opened ports from ufw for it?

UFW firewall is installed and enabled by default on CachyOS
