KDE 6.1 update, sddm language problem

Hi. After updating to KDE 6.1, sddm doesn’t fully display my language on the login screen. The date and time formats are correct. However, the fields shown in the picture are not in my language. I’m referring to Polish. I’ve seen this issue reported on other distros as well. I searched online but couldn’t find anyone reporting it. Is this a bug or an issue with a misconfigured distribution?

sddm is actually independant from KDE. Ill look up, if there is any configuration for to set the correct language.

Try to change the language in this file sudo nano /etc/sddm.conf

Maybe it sounds stupid, but I'm trying to make it work for a few hours now, usin…g different solutions. My `/etc/locale.conf` and `locale` output for both root and user (I mean it's global) is: > LANG=en_US.UTF-8 > LANGUAGE="en_US.UTF-8:en_US:ru_RU.UTF-8:ru_RU" > LC_CTYPE="ru_RU.UTF-8" > LC_NUMERIC="ru_RU.UTF-8" > LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8" > LC_COLLATE="C" > LC_MONETARY="ru_RU.UTF-8" > LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8" > LC_PAPER="ru_RU.UTF-8" > LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8" > LC_ADDRESS="ru_RU.UTF-8" > LC_TELEPHONE="ru_RU.UTF-8" > LC_MEASUREMENT="ru_RU.UTF-8" > LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8" As you can see, messages, language and all are `en_US`. But sddm always shows up on boot in russian, no matter what I do. Things I've tried so far: - Adding `export LANG=en_US.UTF-8` in `/usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup` - Adding `LANG=en_US.UTF-8` in `/etc/environment` - Changing `LC_CTYPE` to english - Setting X11 keymaps using `localectl` to english When lock screen shows up - it's okay, language is english as it should be. As far as I can see, sddm respects **some** locale settings, otherwise it would be in english. So, my stupid question is: where from sddm gets it's language settings on boot?

I’ve this problem with KDE Arch Linux on my Laptop and CachyOS on my “Main-System” aswell and waiting for a offical fix. I guess that 6.1 is still kind of “early access”

It doesn’t bother me that much.
