Issue happening only on wayland

installed cachyos not too long ago, and have noticed an issue. when i installed it it worked fine, but after a reboot and logging the screen stays black. i noticed it was only doing that on wayland. X11, and cinnamon both load and seem to work normally. Went into the bios and disabled the integrated graphics and wayland booted normally.

Clearly cachy does not like something in my setup, but im not too sure where to go next. any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Read the arch wiki on integrated graphic :
Hybrid graphics - ArchWiki .
Note that the monitor must be connected to the integrated card connector and the software will use the desired card. This can explain why you had to disable the integrated card to have the correct output.
