Hi,
I am really enjoying CachyOS so much. Now I have stopped Distro hopping, but only do Desktop hopping – KDE to GNOME and vice versa. But after 2024 recap in the blog, 1 month have passed and nothing new has happened. I am eager to know what new we are to get from CachyOS. How to know that ? Best to have anything like “THIS WEEK IN CACHYOS” in the website.
Thanks
That would be wonderful, but I would hate to take away resources devoted to Cachy operations for reporting. (having been in the IT channel, nothing people hate worse than paperwork)
You are so real for this. As unfortunate as it is, there are no plans currently to do a weekly blog. We do have quite a regular monthly "blog"post, that is our release announcements. Those usually come with the changelogs, and there are likely not enough content per week to put in a blog.
I myself is a developer and is also like that – hating paperworks. But that is a necessity, but tremendously boring.
One month have already passed. Hope you are waiting for Plasma 6.3 for a new release. That would be great. I really hate time chasing in developmental works. I feel that development takes its own time. No one can control that.
We were waiting for 6.13 and NVIDIA. New ISO is pending, I don’t know if we’ll delay it any more for Plasma 6.3.
Does it need to be weekly though? I would rather prefer to post when there is something to post and not tied to some time frame. For Cachy itself i don’t think there are even enough stuff happening to write about weekly, but you can follow news from projects directly like KDE’s blogs.
Yes, we already do that with the monthly ISO releases Sometimes Peter does a blog too when there is something very exciting, e.g. Optimizing the Kernel with AutoFDO on CachyOS — CachyOS.
