Is there any ROADMAP for future updates?

As far as I know there is no roadmap, as one does not seem to exist at the git repos or website, and none was offered any of the other times something like this was asked..

What ensures that Cachyos will continue as a project, and what is the roadmap?

Hi, Glad that you like and found CachyOS! what if the developer of Cachyos decided to discontinue the project? CachyOS is currently not about just one developer. There are 4 main people behind this project, where two people have access to the payments, donations, server and domain information. If anything happens to these two persons, all details are saved and can be accessed by other verified persons (In my case my parents, which also have contact information’s to the other developers). …

The next topic will be for us a Server Edition, which we plan to be done at around end of Q1 in 2026.

Outside of this we maybe also do a immutable edition, but this still is not fully decided.

ARM64 variant is planned, but depends on a official archlinux arm implementation. The current Alarm one is pretty bad.

Of course we will continue to improve the Desktop Edition, since its currently our main target.

I am really excited about the possibility of a server edition (don’t care about immutable) so where can I follow along and perhaps contribute? I run a small boutique web hosting business, so I have plenty of opportunity to test a server edition. We already promote CachyOS for desktop systems, so being able to suggest a “matching” server OS (same pacman muscle memory) all running ZFS is very appealing.
