I already change DNS and still didn’t work.

Is there a way to install offline.I think i need to use VPN but my country has many VPN ban.I can’t even ping 1.1.1.1.
ping 1.1.1.1
PING 1.1.1.1 (1.1.1.1) 56(84) bytes of data.

From 103.27.116.72 icmp_seq=16 Packet filtered
you need a working mirror first and rate-mirros doesn’t work as expected.
i suggest, use the “arch way” for installation
- you can use all graphical tools for necessary preperation
- Installation guide - ArchWiki
2.1) the necessary tools are on the live-image
ok, the arch way isn’t comfortable as calamares but it is very reliable ![]()
Send the log.
I am experiencing exactly the same issue.
- Boot into USB live cachyOS, run installer

- basic selections done, partition, works fine

- When installer gets to 12% it gets stuck for a few minutes and fails.

I have added 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to my DNS list.
I have also tried the following:
- changed /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist to only have one mirror (archlinux_c3sl_ufpr_br)
- successful ping on archlinux_c3sl_ufpr_br (so, DNS is resolving successfully)
- run /etc/calamares/scripts/update-mirrorlist - it fails with “Error: error decoding response body”
Then I went back to the mirrorlist:
- left only archlinux_cachyos_org as a server.
- successfully pinged it (DNS resolving fine)
- the error is different here (“error sending request for url”)

==> ERROR: rate-mirrors failed [errcode=1].
I am testing other servers, but it takes a while to test due to the long timeout, so I thought to post while I test; is this an acknowledged issue? is there something I can do besides randomly picking servers?
An update for future victims:
For each entry on /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
- I commented all other lines and saved the file
- I tried to ping it to make sure it was not a DNS issue
- I ran /etc/calamares/scripts/update-mirrorlist
For most of them it failed, but eventually I found one that worked, and at that point I ran the installer again.
It was interesting that even the self-hosted mirror, archlinux.cachyos.org, failed.
If you are reading this in the future, thanks for searching before asking, and I hope this info helps!
For anyone stuck with this issue who ends up here what worked for me:
Wait until you get to the step where calamares is ranking mirrors (~12%) then disconnect and reconnect your connection to the wifi network.
Don’t turn off your wifi or put the system into airplane mode as that instantly fails the installer.
Just disconnect and reconnect.
I ended up doing it a couple of times during that step so I am unsure which one exactly got the command unstuck, but try fiddling around with it and it may fix the issue for you as well.
