I am very new to CachyOS, but I had a persistent issue with my built in speakers registering sounds but not playing them.
For a while it was fixed after testing them, but after a restart I was back where I started.
If the Windows remained with the 2nd system, start it for a couple of minutes, then turn off the computer. It is necessary to turn off.
