I have used Linux on and off since its conception. I don’t usually post or join forums much. Lately (last year or so) I have been jumping around trying different gamer setups. Started of course on Windows, well that was painful, even tried Revi OS, Atlas, etc. Just some games, even on low, not good. And I accepted that as I am a casual gamer with a rig that plays most games. I got it mostly for say Xcloud, etc. So i decided to jump back to Linux, one by one tried em all, Nobara, regatta, chimera, bazzite, etc. Settled on Nobara for awhile. Was just a couple games (Jedi Survivor, Assasins Creed Mirage) Glitchy…but even though I knew my rig probably wasnt good enough. A few days ago I say new update on Distro watch for Cachy OS, I actually download the deck version. Installed it , used Heroic to point to my alreay installed Jedi Survivor. Launched it and holy s&&t I was playing it no problems on medium with blur, everything pretty much on. Windows and others i had to turn it to low and turn off the extra’s, and even then … How you pull that off??? In all my testing (And I have run them all, guarda, pop, draguar(??cant remember name??) ) Cachy squeezes ever ounce out of my system… I am impressed and had to post. Thank you so much !!
(The only thing I am trying to solve is Sunshine starting at boot as it boots insto Steam BPM but no sunshine auto start unless I switch to desktop mode, auto starts start up then have to go back to Steam)
