i’ve started my linux journey 3 years ago. i wanted to avoid big datas and gafam.
I use my potato computer to play AAA games 
As most of the new linux users i’ve been testing many distros.
I’ve choose endeavouros for many months but the big grub issue that happend on arch scared me and ive decided that my final distro would be opensuse tw.
It have snapper on grub ootb and yast . Exactly what i needed. Sadly it lack of performances and packages (obs aint a great experience like the aur IMO).
I’ve spoted many cachyos is great youtube videos but never watch any until “a1rm4x” made one. So ive benchmarked my games on my machine endeavour + tkg kernel vs cachyos.
Cachy won !
specialy with scx_rustland. I can finaly play apex and gta4/5 about 60 fps stutter free with decent graphism. i have to try cs2 now.
It is a wonderfull thing when you know i run them on a gtx9602gbitx and a xeon e3 (haswell)
