Fingerprint reader set up

Does the CachyOS installation (Plasma) set up the fingerprint reader for unlocking screen? Or I need to go through Arch Wiki and edit the conf. file?

As far as I remember when I set it up myself (I have disabled it since) it’s under Users in System Settings. If it’s enabled in the BIOS. KDE Plasma that is.

i think this one still need to touch the pam conf files
because, that’s what i did on my -handheld version, few months ago when do a fresh reinstall
as for registering the fingerprint itself, yes i just using the System Settings from KDE

I did the pam conf files on my Endeavour OS system. But I have a faded fingerprint and the system wouldn’t let me press again once my first attemp failed. Is there a way to edit the conf file to allow unlimited fingerprint attempts?

you might want to check this, in theory (i havnt test this) you can use max-tries options
