I recently installed CachyOS using limen.conf. Now, every time I run an update (pretty much every day) and limen.conf is updated, my computer does not complete boot up. The pointer will show up but nothing else happens. I have to push the power button for several seconds to get it to power down, then I power back up after waiting 10 seconds or so. Some times it will complete boot up on the first re-power. Sometimes I have to shutdown and re-power up to 4 times before it completes boot up. Has anyone else run into this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?
limine.conf would be rewritten with new bootable snapshots each pacman update. But I don’t think that’s the problem here judging by what’s been said.
If you’re getting to the stage where a pointer appears on screen, that means you’re making it past the Limine boot manager screen, right? Mouse input should not happen before a graphical display manager(like plasma-login-manager) is called upon.
If you’re making it that far then this isn’t a Limine issue.
Either way, like HardCode suggested above, it would help greatly if you run
